In the Spring of 2005, Elizabeth Eckman, an active member of Brentwood Baptist Church, died of a brain aneurism. Out of such an emotional time in the church's life came this musical expression. As the church prayed for Elizabeth's healing, it became apparent that God would most likely heal her by taking her home to be with Him. David pondered this reality as he composed, realizing that the prayer for Elizabeth was in fact, not for her life, but for her death - for in her death, true healing would come - not just for her, but for all of us.
