Commissioned by Paul Compton, Oklahoma State University Professor of Trombone, Life Pictures is a light-hearted work depicting three stages of life - youthful vigor, the rat race and reflection. With Paul's mastery of the trombone in mind, this work was written to exhibit both intense technical passages and masterful lyric melodies, making Life Pictures enjoyable both for the performer as well as the listener.
